Hi everybody,
I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to keep the temperature in the house (I live in Torrevieja, south Costa Blanca) above the freezing point?
Since we do not have any kind of central heating and we only have one air-conditioning in the living room the temperature in all the other rooms in the house drops extremely, especially at night.
Does anyone have a cheap idea how to keep the bedrooms and all other rooms warm at night? I believe it will get even colder in day-times in winter. Does anyone have experiences with the temperatures down here on the southern Costa Blanca? How cold does it get around Torrevieja in Winter time?
Any suggestions on adequate heating systems solutions for houses in Spain?
Greetings to all fellow Spain-Lovers.

Hello Spain,
I’m Dean and live in Torrevieja since 2000. My wife and I feel home here but know about certain discrepancies here in Spain. That why we are a little worried about the situation of the swine flu influenza and the meassures taken to prevent an epidemic or pandemic here in Spain. Is the Spanish Government taking the situation seriously? Does Spain have enough vaccine for everybody living in Spain? Anyone got serios info on the situation for mass vaccination for the H1N1 virus here in Spain? Do I have to go back home for vaccination?
Thanks for replies
Dean

My family, my wife and daughter, came down here with me and we are all well and are making a nice living. Back in Germany, our native home country, we didn’t realy feell comfortable any more. So we decided to come to Spain all together and we’re still happy about our decision.
This blog is for all people living anywhere but have some kind of connection to Orihuela Costa, Torrevieja, the Costa Blanca or just Spain.
Tell the world what you think about the decision you’ve made or haven’t. Maybe you’re just having similar thoughts or have regreted the decision. No matter how you are conneted to Spain, tell others about it.
